Bio:

Chandler “Swirl” Bogomolny (he/they) is a Nashville-based multi-instrumentalist, mixer, songwriter, film composer, & educator. He specializes in drum set, and additionally teaches guitar, electric bass, and piano. Lessons are available in their Donelson home studio, Nashville student's’ homes, and online.

He graduated Summa Cum Laude from University of Miami's Frost School of Music (2022) where he was awarded Outstanding Senior of his major. He studied with Steve Rucker (drummer; Bee Gees), Carlos Rivera (film composer; Queen's Gambit), Randy Barlow (producer; Shakira), and Craig Carothers (songwriter; Trisha Yearwood). He recorded drums for the punk/rap artist TX2, playing on multiple singles receiving over 130k Spotify streams. While in Miami, he was the go-to drummer for up-and-coming pop artists like Jasmine Ortiz & Jeyhan. He has played at countless venues and events in twelve US states and three countries, including the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, Knitting Factory, Gathering of the Vibes Music Festival, Mo Pop Festival, and Tri-C JazzFest. He's made musical contributions to several film festivals, including the Miami Film Festival and NYC Independent Film Festival. As a bandleader, he's released 2 EPs and opened for major reggae/ska acts like The English Beat, Mad Caddies, and Big D & the Kids Table. He directed his first student ensembles in 2014, and started teaching private lessons in May 2021. He is a huge fan of country, jazz, rock, Balkan, avant-garde, and reggae music.
