Bio:

Pianist, singer/songwriter, music educator, and voiceover artist are a few of the hats Grace Waugh (she/her) wears. She holds a bachelor's degree in classical piano and a minor in entrepreneurship from Belmont University, is a certified Music Together early childhood music teacher, and is working on releasing her 3rd EP of original songs this fall. After a decade teaching piano and early education music lessons, Grace is excited to embark on a more dedicated teaching journey with Melodia Studio!  She currently offers piano lessons in students’ homes in Nashville, especially around the Crieve Hall, Woodbine, Melrose, Wedgewood Houston and Brentwood areas.

Optimistic, energetic, and passionate, Grace’s authenticity and joie de vivre shine through in her solo work and her warm and engaging teaching style. Grace feels that music is one of the greatest joy producers in life, and she aspires to bring as much of it to others as possible through music education and original songs. While she takes a classical approach to teaching and wants to ensure that students have a solid technical + theory foundation, she firmly believes that FUN is the key ingredient in music education. Playing is the best way to learn, after all. That can look like an extra dance party break with an early education group class, or working on a favorite pop song or original song in piano lessons in lieu of a new Bach piece. Flexibility and fun are key to her teaching philosophy, and she couldn’t be more thrilled to join the ranks of like-minded Melodia Studio music educators!
