BILLING

Tuition plus a 4% fee is auto-drafted on or before the first of each month for weekly lessons. Lesson packages & group lessons can be purchased directly through the website. Rates for lessons and classes are subject to vary or change.

COVID-19 & HEALTH POLICY

Due to constantly varying pandemic circumstances and health safety preferences, we ask that students & families communicate directly with Melodia Studio & instructor(s) regarding health preferences. Melodia Studio’s instructors have all agreed to wear masks during in-person lessons and to offer socially-distant online lessons, regardless of vaccination status. In the event that any party is exposed to or tests positive for Covid-19, all parties should be notified (Melodia Studio, Student/Family, Teacher) and lessons will be held online during the quarantine period. If any party is contagiously ill, whether with Covid-19 or a cold, stay home and opt for an online lesson.

LESSON CANCELLATION POLICY

Fees are not lowered or refunded for student tardiness or absence. Studio-based cancellations will be credited or made up. Substitute teachers may be assigned if primary instructor is unavailable.

MAKEUP POLICY

Make-up lessons are not guaranteed and are dependent on studio availability.  
24-hour notice required. For studio-based cancellations, make-up lesson may be forfeited after 3 unsuccessful attempts to re-schedule.

HOLIDAY POLICY

Melodia Studio observes Spring Break, Fall Break, Thanksgiving Break, and Winter Break. Tuition is the same for 5-week months as it is for holiday months. For updated calendar, visit melodiastudio.com/calendar

30-DAY NOTICE POLICY

30-day notice is required for lesson postponement or termination. One month’s tuition is due from date of notification and will be auto-drafted. Students may choose to attend or miss those 30 days.

SUMMER POLICY

To reserve and guarantee your spot and time slot with your teacher, full tuition is due whether or not you attend. Otherwise, 30-day notice is needed to take a break, and availability will be first-come, first-served in the fall. Lesson Packages are an option over summer and can be pre-purchased and scheduled flexibly.

EXPECTATIONS

Students are to be focused, respectful, and follow directions. Students are to have all their materials prepared including books, practice notes, and assignments. Guardians must be available at beginning or end of lessons to discuss lesson-related matters. Students are to try to practice at least10 minutes a day, 4 days a week.

DISMISSAL POLICY

Students & Families may be dismissed for reasons including but not limited to— rude, disrespectful, or uncooperative behavior or attitude; excessive absence or tardiness; failure to pay tuition; inadequate practice.

PHOTO, VIDEO & CONTACT RELEASE

Melodia Studio may use photos or videos of students & families in public communications related to the mission of Melodia Studio. You will be added to the newsletter contact list for studio updates. Student & family contact info may be visible to other students & families within the Student Portal for lesson-swapping and group communications.

LIABILITY WAIVER

In exchange for participation in lessons organized by Melodia Studio, and/or use of the facilities of Melodia Studio faculty, students and guardians assume full responsibility for personal injury and agree to indemnify Melodia Studio against all claims, causes of action, damages, costs or expenses, which may arise from use of or presence upon facilities provided by Melodia Studio faculty. Students and guardians agree to pay for any damages to the properties of Melodia Studio faculty caused by students or families. By agreeing to this waiver, you voluntarily surrender certain legal rights.
